| Bert Morgan, owner and producer of BLM Productions has created a brand new documentary. The film is entitled, "Spies in Crinoline" and was premiered at the Cinema Arts Theater in Fairfax, Va. to a sell out crowd. This is a documentary based on the life of Antonia Ford during the American Civil War. The script is based on Karla Vernon’s 2006 novel, The Spy in Crinoline. American Civil War spy, Laura Ratcliff, who was also a Fairfax County, Virginia, resident, is featured. Based on historical fact, the scenes of discovery divulged will be laced with many dramatizations and reenactments. As the story unfolds, the viewer will come to know more about Antonia Ford and Laura Ratcliff. The scenes and narrative presentations depict espionage, political intrigue, imprisonment, love and marriage, and death. We have created dramatic sequences that are authentic in period dress, furnishings, sounds, and mannerisms. Rich details of 19th century everyday life is built into the dramatic sequences of the film. The finished film is a documentary with narratives, graphics, commentary, and authentic stills. It is promised that not only will it be historically sound, it will be entertaining. There are also several expert commentators. |

| Bert Morgan also produces and moderates a local television program entitled, "Virginia's Living History", which is dedicated to preserving Virginia's rich American Civil War history. This program airs throughout the year with different episodes. "Virginia's Living History" began in 2001 with the introduction of American Civil War re-enactors' efforts in preserving living history. Other shows aired were "The Battle of Cedar Creek", and "The Consequences of War", which consisted of medicine in the American Civil War and the aftermath of the Battle of Second Manassas. The Battle of Chantilly, (Ox Hill) is also shown. This is a story of local Fairfax County history based on the book of the same name by Chuck Mauro. The Battle of Chantilly, (Ox Hill) premiered at the Cinema Arts Theater in Fairfax, Virginia to a sell out crowd. |
